Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis went off for 38 points in a win over the Indiana Pacers. See the best plays and what it means going forward.

The Dallas Mavericks were looking to make it two straight wins on Monday night. They were fresh off a 23-point victory over the Hawks without Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic.

The Mavs traveled to Indianapolis to take on the Indiana Pacers on Feb. 3. The Pacers were fifth in the Eastern Conference coming in and just got Victor Oladipo back after he missed nearly a year with a quad injury. It promised to be an exciting contest.

The Mavericks and Pacers were neck and neck early on, but Dallas pulled away a bit in the second half to pick the 112-103 victory on Monday night.

More. Can Porzingis and Cauley-Stein share the court?

Domantas Sabonis led the way for the Pacers. He narrowly missed a triple-double finishing with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists in 36 minutes. The first-time All-Star caused issues for the Mavs all night.

The Mavericks were led by Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. Both men stepped up with Luka still sidelined because of a sprained ankle. THJ finished with 25 points and five assists. Porzingis had a season-high 38 points, 12 rebounds, and six 3-pointers made against the Pacers.

Defense won the game for Dallas in the second half. They held Indiana to 48 points while scoring 59 to earn the victory.
