Highlights and more

Luka Doncic was at it again on Saturday. His 25 points, six rebounds, and seven assists do not sound impressive because of what he does on a nightly basis. Consider this, Luka is one of four players in the NBA averaging at least that stat line this season. The others are LeBron James, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook who have all won the MVP award.

Here is a look at his best plays from Saturday in Utah.

The Mavericks once again faltered down the stretch. They lost the fourth quarter 32 to 23. With three minutes remaining, the Mavs were up by four points. The game swung nine points in the final stretch. Executing late in games has been a massive issue for Dallas this season.

On Saturday, it can be blamed on missing free throws. The Mavericks hit seven of 13 in the game including missing two late. They were not free for Dallas, and it cost them a close one.

The Mavs are off on Sunday before beginning a back-to-back set on Monday. They travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder then returning home for a game against the Phoenix Suns. Mavericks supporters can expect to see the debut of Willie Cauley-Stein. He was acquired via trade from the Warriors officially on Saturday.
