Injury update

The Mavericks game notes list Kristaps Porzingis as questionable yet again. He has missed ten straight games, but appears ready to return on Tuesday. Keep an eye on his status. Ryan Broekhoff is out for Dallas with a broken leg.

The Clippers game notes have Paul George listed as out with a hamstring injury. The All-Star has missed five straight games. Maurice Harkless is the only other player on the report. He is questionable with a sore back.

Storyline to follow: Luka’s shooting

In the first meeting, the Clippers made life difficult on Luka Doncic. He shot just four of 14 from the field and missed all eight of his 3-point attempts. It was one of his worst shooting performances of the season. LA won the game by 15 points.

They have a plethora of options to use against Luka. Kawhi Leonard is one of the NBA’s best defenders. They can also rotate on Patrick Beverley and Maurice Harkless to make life difficult on the Mavs star.

Doncic needs to continue his hot streak against the Clippers on Tuesday. That will be the key to the Mavericks picking up the win in front of their home crowd.
