Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is second in All-Star fan voting behind LeBron James. Here is why everyone needs to get out and vote Luka.

The Dallas Mavericks have won three straight games entering Friday’s matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers. Luka Doncic has the Mavs offense producing at a historically elite level. The 20-year-old is doing it all without Kristaps Porzingis in the lineup too. The 7’3 big man injured his knee against the Lakers on Dec. 29 and has missed nine straight games.

Doncic has been incredible this season. He is averaging 28.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.1 steals in 32.8 minutes per game. Luka shoots 46.6 percent from the field and 78.6 percent on his free throws. He is attacking the rim with constant success this season. Doncic has transformed into one of the best in-close finishers in the league.

The second-year leap has the Mavs star in the thick of the MVP conservation. Reigning winner Giannis Antetokounmpo is in the lead, but Luka, James Harden, and LeBron James are hot on his heels. It appears to be a four-person race for the award this season.

Doncic is also looking to be named to his first All-Star and All-NBA teams. The voting for February’s All-Star game is underway. Luka trails only LeBron James in the fan voting after the third returns on Jan. 16 which fans can see below.

It is a close race for the top spot in the West. Here is a look at how supporters can cast their ballot. The voting ends on Monday, Jan. 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Here are three reasons why Dallas Mavericks fans need to go out and vote for Luka Doncic right now.
