Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki continues to inspire the NBA’s top players. Find out what Wizards star Bradley Beal had to say about the Mavs GOAT.

Dallas Mavericks fans are trying to adjust to life without Dirk Nowitzki. It has not been easy. There has been no number 41 to save the team late in the shot clock. They have been without the seven-footer hitting his one-legged fadeaway. The Mavericks have probably missed his leadership most, though.

The legend is enjoying his retirement. Supporters still get the nightly reminder of Dirk by looking at his silhouette on the Mavs home court. It is an honor he deserves, but it does not fill the void of missing his presence.

Dirk Nowitzki may not be playing anymore, but he is still inspiring some of the NBA’s best players. Two-time All-Star Bradley Beal joined Adrian Wojnarowski on the Woj Pod to discuss a myriad of topics. Beal mentioned Dirk as an inspiration in staying with the Washington Wizards and trying to create a lasting legacy. Mavericks fans can hear the clip of Beal discussing Nowitzki’s impact on him here.

Dirk’s 21 years with the Mavs is incredible. There were so many times where he could have left, but instead, Nowitzki took pay cuts to help the front office build a better roster around him. The Tall Baller from the G is one of a kind. He will forever be the Mavericks GOAT.

Impacts across the league

Bradley Beal is not the only player Dirk has inspired. Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis has stated on numerous occasions that he admired Nowitzki during his youth. There are numerous other players that would consider him an inspiration. It is hard not to be captivated by what Dirk accomplished with the Mavericks.
