The Pelicans began the game trapping Doncic and forcing the ball out of his hands. It was a major reason why they held a 14-point lead at the end of the first quarter. Luka still managed to find a way to drop 25 points. That is so impressive.
Doncic also hit the game-clinching shot. He banked home a step back 3-pointer with just over a minute to go to stretch the lead to seven points. Fans can relive the play below.

It was another masterful performance from the 20-year-old star. He said the Mavericks would make the playoffs this season. Doncic is doing everything in his power to get them there. Dallas won their first two games for the first time since 2004. Luka was led the show in both victories.
It is going to be an exciting season, and The Smoking Cuban will bring Dallas Mavericks fans plenty of entertaining content to enhance the experience.
