Dallas Mavericks fans are exciting about the 2019-2020 season. ESPN released its final projections using RPM, and the Mavs come out as a playoff team. See more here.

Dallas Mavericks supporters are having difficulty containing their excitement. Luka Doncic will be running the show and dominating the league in his second season. The addition of Kristaps Porzingis makes the Mavs a force at both ends of the floor. Their star duo is looking to bust them from the rebuilding phase back into contention this season.

Fans are in for a treat. There will be plenty of highlights and exciting basketball in Dallas. Doncic and Porzingis are just the tip of the iceberg of a team that is built to continue making the climb up the standings.

Supporters know how difficult the Western Conference is this season. It will be challenging for any team to qualify for the playoffs.

ESPN projects Mavs into the postseason

ESPN ran one final projection using their real plus-minus (RPM) which supporters can see here (subscription required). The Dallas Mavericks came out as the seventh seed in the Western Conference winning on average 43.9 games.

Reaction

It was exciting to see that this statistical model believes in the Mavs. Assuming Doncic and Porzingis are healthy, Dallas is not a team that others want to match up with during the regular or postseason.

The Mavericks could have an elite offense this season. Luka is one of the best playmakers in the league. Porzingis is a proven shooter and scorer. Containing the duo will be difficult.

Fans having playoff basketball back in Dallas for the first time since 2016 would be an amazing end to the 2019-2020 season. Hopefully, ESPN nails it on these projections.

Remember, the Dallas Mavericks are still building too. This year is only the beginning. Luka Doncic is 20, and Kristaps Porzingis just turned 24. Neither star has reached their prime yet. The Mavs could be a title contender in two seasons behind Luka and KP.
