On competing

Dirk said that he will miss competing at the highest level and the trash talk that goes along with it. The legend tells a funny story about an injured Gary Trent‘s ability to talk it up in his early playing days.

Nowitzki mentions that he will find a way to continue competing. He suggests it could be tennis, golf, or something else that gets his juices flowing.

Marion’s defense

Ben Rogers asked about who was the best at defending him. Dirk gives a shout out to Shawn Marion. He discusses at length about the way teams attempted to stop him. Nowitzki mentions a few other players as well.

It never worked too well. Dirk finished his career with 31,560 points. He is sixth all-time in scoring and should hold that title for years to come.

Working more with his foundation

He talks about spending more time helping children through the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation. The Mavericks GOAT got excited about his charity work and will make a massive difference.

Dirk also discusses his friendship with former Maverick and Hall of Famer Steve Nash, and how they will be able to spend more time together now.

He also dishes on the TV shows he has watched this summer. Those are just a few topics that are discussed in this must-listen interview.

Dallas Mavericks fans will hear plenty more from Dirk Nowitzki moving forward. The legend will be at games and supporting the team all season.
