Dallas Mavericks guards Delon Wright and Seth Curry worked out together recently. The highlights should get Mavs fans pumped for the upcoming season.

The Dallas Mavericks‘ two biggest offseason additions were trading for Delon Wright and signing Seth Curry in free agency. They shelled out $59 million guaranteed to the two players combined.

The Mavs are expecting significant contributions from their two new guards. Wright is the projected starting point guard. Luka Doncic will be the team’s primary ball-handler, but Wright will be asked to make a massive impact on the defensive end. Curry gives the Mavs an elite floor spacer. He may be the best 3-point shooter in the NBA.

They will both have to gel with their new teammates for the Dallas Mavericks to reach the playoffs this season. The addition of Kristaps Porzingis means a lot of players will be filling new roles.

Luckily, the Mavs have already begun the process of bonding. Almost the entire team traveled to Miami this week to work out and spend time together. Seth Curry was absent from the trip because he is getting married.

Curry has been working hard on his game, though. Here is the latest.

Wright and Curry hit the gym

Delon Wright and Seth Curry recently worked out with trainer Chris Johnson. Mavericks fans can see the video here.

Curry displayed his beautiful shooting stroke in the clip. He made some difficult looks with Wright’s hand in his face. Dallas will need his shooting to draw defensive attention to maximize their offense this season.

Wright’s percentages are something to watch this season. Porzingis is the premier stretch big man in the NBA. Defenders are not going to want to leave Doncic either. That means plenty of open looks for Wright. He cannot shoot 29.8 percent from three again this season. Wright needs to be an above league average 3-point shooter for the Mavericks to navigate the difficult Western Conference.
