Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki talked with Ben and Skin about his retirement, Luka Doncic, and more in a recent interview.

Dallas Mavericks GOAT Dirk Nowitzki decided to hang up the sneakers after the 2018-2019 season. It was a legendary career filled with unforgettable moments, but what has Dirk been up to since?

The Mavs great invited Ben and Skin to the office of his foundation for a chat on a variety of topics. Let us take a look.

Dirk on retirement

Nowitzki talked about what he did this offseason to kick off the interview. He stayed busy with his charities, being an ambassador at the World Cup, and traveling with his family. Dirk also talks about perhaps overindulging a bit.

On basketball

He talked plenty about his excitement for the upcoming Mavericks season. Dirk also mentioned it was a new situation when the schedule was released.

The legend will be honored with a logo on the Mavs home court this season. The Tall Baller from the G discusses at length about going to Mavericks games and how he wants to watch.

He also talked about his desire to play basketball being gone. Sadly, his foot injury is still acting up.

On Luka

Dirk discusses Luka Doncic plenty. The 20-year-old will be taking part in Dirk’s charity tennis tournament this weekend. He discusses how Luka will be putting on a show even if he is not the most skilled player.
