Dallas Mavericks GOAT Dirk Nowitzki is holding his annual Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic on Sept. 15. Here is why fans should not miss it.

Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki is enjoying his retirement. He was honored by all three other Dallas major professional sports teams this summer. Dirk also traveled and indulged in plenty of food that was not of his menu during his playing days.

Nowitzki is back in Dallas and gearing up for his fourth annual Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic on Sunday, Sept. 15. It begins at 11 a.m. CT at the SMU Tennis Complex.

The Mavericks put Dirk Nowitzki’s latest message out on Twitter on Monday.

The event raises money for the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation. It is usually a star studded day. Hall of Famer and former Maverick Steve Nash will be participating this year. Tennis pros Tommy Haas and Mark Knowles will also play. It is not just sports stars. Actor Boris Kodjoe will be displaying his skills. There will be plenty of other celebrities taking part on Sunday as well.

The event sells out every year, so get your tickets now. It is a fantastic day of tennis. Dirk will be signing autographs and putting on a show for the fans too. It is a stellar event that supports an outstanding cause, so do not miss it.

Expect to see Nowitzki at plenty of Mavericks games this season. Their young star duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis will both be looking for advice from one of the all-time greats.
