Dallas Mavericks: Boban Marjanovic is a must-follow on Twitter

The Dallas Mavericks fans have gotten a lot of comic relief on Twitter thanks to Dirk Nowitzki over the past few years. No one can replace Dirk, but Boban Marjanovic is definitely someone you need to follow to keep the laughter going.

Twitter is a great place to get information, see interesting pictures, learn about what is going on in the world (the sports world or the real world, whichever you prefer) and a great place to go and get a good laugh or two. In the past, Dallas Mavericks fans knew that Dirk Nowitzki always had something witty or self-deprecating up his sleeve that could get everyone laughing.

Since Dirk left, we still get plenty of humor from him but it’s nice knowing who the jokester for the team is going to be. It appears we have our first candidate to fill the void with newly acquired center, Boban Marjanovic. Boban is coming to the Mavs most recently from the Philadelphia 76ers, but he also played for the San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers.

Even though his time on the court has been pretty limited during his NBA career, the presence off the court has been much more interesting. From his well-documented bromance with Tobias Harris to starring in the movie, John Wick 3, Boban is built for entertainment. He translates that into his Twitter account well.

Here are a couple of my favorite tweets from and about the big man, starting with some movie drama.

Keeping it going with more about his great appearance in the John Wick series. If his feet are anything like his hands, I wouldn’t want to be kicked by him.

First he takes Dirk’s spot for the best Mavs Twitter account, is he now taking Dirk’s spot as the best dancer on the team, too?

It looks like the Mavericks are going to need to go get Tobias Harris in the future if we are going to keep Boban around. These two deserve to be on the same roster.

And finally, the small jab at his Serbian national team teammate, Nikola Jokic. Boban is already a legend.

It sure is fun to have a big personality like Boban Marjanovic on this team. I expect we will be hearing a lot more from the big man as this season goes on and it will be even more fun seeing him on the court towering over everyone else.
