Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic had a bit of a rough game against France, but Serbia still managed to win the tournament. See the latest here.

Dallas Mavericks big man Boban Marjanovic wrapped up the exhibition slate with his native Serbia on Tuesday. Here is the latest.

Serbia was taking on France in the AusTiger Cup in China. Italy and New Zealand were also part of the round-robin competition. Serbia and France were both undefeated entering the game. It was a battle for the cup.

The French National Team had a strong first half and held a nine-point lead at the break. The Serbians would not be denied, though. They completed the second-half comeback to claim a 61-56 victory on Aug. 27.

Boban Marjanovic played nine minutes in the first half. He entered the game with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter. Marjanovic had two points and an assist. He got in trouble arguing a non-foul call and did not play in the second half.

Serbia played Nikola Jokic and Boban Marjanovic on the floor together plenty. The Mavs center patrolled the paint with Jokic roaming more on the perimeter. Marjanovic had the task of defending Rudy Gobert plenty while they were both on the court.

Serbia was without Sacramento Kings’ wings Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nemanja Bjelica for the second straight game. The team will need both players to win the World Cup. No word on why they missed Tuesday’s game.

Next up for Boban Marjanovic and Serbia is the 2019 FIBA World Cup. They are in Group D. Serbia’s first game is on Aug. 31 against Angola. The Philippines and Italy are also part of their group.

The Serbian National Team is one of the favorites for the tournament. They were undefeated in ten games in exhibition play in August. Team USA, Spain, and Australia all figure to be in the hunt for medals in China.
