The Dallas Mavericks signed Maxi Kleber to a four-year contract extension this summer. The deal is worth $25 million in guaranteed money but could reach $35.9 million according to Spotrac. Kleber proved last season that he is a capable rim protector and 3-point shooter. Mavs fans are excited about the big man.

On Aug. 16, Germany defeated Hungary 83-62. They jumped out to a massive lead early by winning the first quarter 23-4. Kleber did not play on Friday.
Germany vs. Czech Republic
Maxi Kleber drew a start on Saturday. Germany handled the Czech Republic 87-68 in front of 3,400 fans. Kleber played 20.1 minutes. He finished with seven points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, one 3-pointer made, and one block.
Germany vs. Poland
Germany completed the weekend sweep with a 92-84 win over Poland. Kleber drew his second start. He had nine points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 22.5 minutes.
The Germans are led by their captain Dennis Schroder. He netted 33 points against Poland. Schroder figures to make a significant impact at the World Cup in China.
