The contract details also came out. Here is what Bobby Marks reported on that front.
The 21-year-old got his first taste of professional basketball in the Las Vegas Summer League. Roby produced 8.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.2 blocks in 27.6 minutes during those five games. Below is his highlight tape from Vegas.
The forward entered the draft after three years playing NCAA basketball at Nebraska. During his junior year, Roby averaged 11.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks in 31.2 minutes per game.
Roby profiles as a combo forward that excels on the defensive end of the floor. He can also handle the ball a bit.

Mavericks fans should expect Isaiah Roby to play most of his games with the Texas Legends this season. The 21-year-old needs minutes, and they will be difficult to come by in Dallas. Supporters should monitor Roby’s development as the season progresses. Standing out in the G-League would help him earn a larger role with the Mavs.
