Dallas Mavericks center Dwight Powell has decided to accept his player option and is expected to sign an extension during free agency. See the latest here.

Dallas Mavericks fans have been wondering about the future of Dwight Powell in recent weeks. Powell has a $10.2 million player option for next season. He expressed his desire to remain in Dallas during his exit interview. GM Donnie Nelson also stated his intention to keep Powell with the Mavericks.

Supporters were thrown a curveball when Yahoo Sports reported that was opting out to become an unrestricted free agent.
