Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki is enjoying his retirement. He was called on to pump up the FC Dallas fans including scoring a hilarious penalty kick.
Dallas Mavericks GOAT Dirk Nowitzki retired at the end of the season. He spent all 21 years of his career with the Mavs. Dirk had so many unthinkable accomplishments. He will go down as one of the best players in NBA history.
Nowitzki turns 41 in June, so he has plenty of time to enjoy his retirement. Expect Dirk to join the Mavericks in some capacity next season and beyond. The organization will also have his jersey retirement and statue unveiling coming in the years ahead.

Ignites FC Dallas crowd
Dirk Nowitzki was brought in to lay the ceremonial scarf on the Lamar Hunt statue for the FC Dallas soccer team. Here is a video of Dirk completing the tradition courtesy of the Mavs official Twitter.
Nowitzki also took a penalty kick on the field against Tex Hooper, the FC Dallas mascot. The shot had some hilarious results which fans can see thanks to the Mavericks Twitter.
