Dallas Mavericks forward Justin Jackson graduates from the University of North Carolina this weekend. Plus, we take a look at his role next season.

Dallas Mavericks forward Justin Jackson was a welcomed mid-season addition to the team. He came over in the Harrison Barnes trade from Sacramento.

It took Jackson a bit to settle in, but he thrived down the stretch. Over the final 12 games, Jackson averaged 13.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.7 3-pointers made in 26.6 minutes a night. He shot 53.8 percent from the field and 38.5 percent on his threes during that stretch.

The 24-year-old still has two years remaining on his rookie contract. Justin Jackson is making news off the basketball court this weekend, though.

Justin Jackson graduated from the University of North Carolina. Congrats go out to him. He played three seasons for the Tar Heels, and Jackson finished his degree during his two years in the NBA.
