Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic can do more than ball out on the basketball court. He recently showed off his prediction skills.

Dallas Mavericks point forward Luka Doncic went from rookie to star this season. Fans were expected him to play well, but nobody thought he would produce a historically significant opening season.

Despite being an NBA rookie, Luka is an experienced professional basketball player. He played four seasons for Real Madrid in the second best league in the world. Doncic was used to the longer schedule and facing difficult competition. That undoubtedly made the transition to the NBA easier.

Luka did not just play for Real Madrid. He was their star player during the 2017-2018 season. Doncic won the EuroLeague and Liga ACB MVP awards.

He formed plenty of bonds there as well. Luka went back to visit and be honored after the Mavs season ended. Fans can read more about that here.

Predicts a playoff sweep

During Luka Doncic’s trip, Real Madrid was playing their first game of a EuroLeague playoff series against Panathinaikos. Fans can see a video here where Luka gives his prediction of the series.

Naturally, his prognostication was spot on. Real Madrid won all three games to advance to the EuroLeague Final Four again this season. Doncic celebrated both the team victory and his correct prediction in a Tweet which fans can see here.

Expect to hear plenty more from Luka this offseason. The 20-year-old will be working hard on his game. Doncic will be taking the mantle as the Mavericks franchise player next season.

He should also receive the Rookie of the Year award in June and be part of the Mavs recruiting pitch when free agency opens in July. Fans should have plenty of storylines to follow about both Luka and the Dallas Mavericks, so please keep it locked on The Smoking Cuban.
