Dallas Mavericks: Tickets now on sale for Dirk Nowitzki’s Heroes game

The Dirk Nowitzki Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game is back for another year as the former Dallas Mavericks star brings local celebrities together to play a pickup baseball game for charity. Here are the need-to-know details.

Tickets are officially on sale as of this morning for the annual Dirk Nowitzki Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game. The game happens every year during the summer where Dirk gets celebrities from the area (and some from outside of Dallas) together to play a pickup-style baseball game for charity.

The game provides funs to both the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and the Heroes Foundation. Players from the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys usually make up a large part of the game, while some Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars have joined in the past.

According to the official Dirk Nowitzki Foundation website, “The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation is dedicated to putting children first and assisting them through programs focusing on their wellbeing, health and education.”

The Heroes Foundation website shares a similar goal, “When it began 12 years ago, Heroes established a Foundation and opened the HDNet Heroes Baseball Field in an attempt to develop self-confidence, character and ambitious goals for Dallas-area children.”

Dirk has been hosting this event for several years and it just continues to grow. Here is the information needed to prepare for the big game.

The game is scheduled for Friday June 7th, 2019 at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. The main event begins at 7:00 p.m., but the annual Heroes Special Olympic All-Star Softball Game will be right before the celebrity game, starting at 5:15 p.m.
