Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki shared the Mavs practice court with NFL MVP and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes on March 11.
Dallas Mavericks fans saw plenty of star power at the game when they hosted the Houston Rockets on Sunday. Reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes was in attendance. Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson also showed up in the American Airlines Center. It was yet another sellout crowd for the Mavericks.
Mahomes did not just come to the game, though. The Kansas City QB is a massive basketball fan and played in high school. Mahomes has produced some highlights on the hardwood. He continued playing pickup games in the football offseason until the Chiefs reportedly banned him from doing so for fear he would get injured.

That had some hilarious results and commentary which fans can enjoy here. It was an awesome moment to see the two star athletes having some fun and sharing the court.
Mahomes is from Tyler, Texas and played for Texas Tech in college. It is fair to say that meeting Dirk was a treat for the 23-year-old football star.
Final thoughts

Star rookie Luka Doncic would have likely joined in on the fun, but he was held out Monday’s session with a left knee strain. Doncic reportedly did a bit of shooting, though. He injured the knee on Sunday against the Rockets and is questionable for Tuesday game.
