The Dallas Mavericks are in the midst of a four-game road trip. That is scary because the Mavs have the worst road record in the NBA. They have won just two of 18 contests away from the American Airlines Center this season.
Wednesday brings another chance to get their elusive third road victory. The Mavericks travel to North Carolina to face the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets currently sit at 18-18 and are sixth in the Eastern Conference. Kemba Walker is making a strong All-Star bid by averaging 25.8 points per game for the Michael Jordan owned Hornets.

Storyline to follow: Mavs road struggles
The Dallas Mavericks have not won a road game since Nov. 28. They have lost nine straight away from home. The Mavs need to find a way to end that streak and play .500 ball on the road for the remainder of the season to make the playoffs.
They have three consecutive road games ahead against some of the best teams in the East. Dallas needs to find their stride starting against the Hornets. Starting center Cody Zeller is out with a broken hand meaning DeAndre Jordan could have a massive advantage inside on Wednesday.
Luka Doncic will also need to have a massive performance, and the Mavs need to limit their turnovers in order to pick up the victory. Fans should keep an eye on those keys as they enjoy the contest.
