The Dallas Mavericks are looking for a bounce-back win against the LA Clippers. Here’s what you should know before tipoff.
The Dallas Mavericks had a brutal Friday night game. After a four-game win streak that was followed by a three-game win streak, the Mavericks were put back to .500 once again after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in blowout fashion.
On Sunday night, they face the other Los Angeles basketball team, the Clippers. This LA Clippers team has been phenomenal featuring a tremendous 15-6 record. That is the top mark in the stacked Western Conference.
Most of the hard work should be credited to Montrezl Harrell as well as Sixth Man of the Year, Lou Williams. Both have averaged well over 15 points per game and will be one of the main issues for the Mavericks.
One player also not being to closely monitored is Tobias Harris, who leads all Clippers players in both scoring and rebounding. Harris recently dropped 28 and six on the Kings in a dominating win.
Here’s what to expect in what should be a tight game.

Injuries
Mavericks
Dirk Nowitzki will continue to sit out with an ankle injury. He is, however, predicted to make a return sometime this month.
Maxi Kleber sat out last contest after a knee injury. Kleber is expected to return tonight with no minutes restrictions.
Clippers
Luc Mbah a Moute has been out since October with left knee soreness. He will not be playing tonight against Dallas.
Doncic’s bounce-back game
Luka Doncic seemed to struggle shooting from everywhere on the floor on Friday. He only managed to grab six points and six rebounds while shooting 15 percent from the field.
It may just have been an off night for Doncic, but expect him to be up and ready again as he has the opportunity to guard fellow rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who has a decent season himself.
Barnes back on fire again
On Friday, we saw Harrison Barnes beat all scorers and put up 29 points. That is extremely impressive. It’s also the type of player the Mavericks need on the wing. A leader and a lethal shooter.
Barnes will have a tough task of guarding Tobias Harris on Dec. 2. We might see multiple post plays come from the two small ball bigs tonight.
If the Dallas Mavericks can manage to grab a win, they will keep their eighth seed in the Western Conference and move past .500 again. Fans can only hope!
