Dallas Mavericks took Nov. 29 off as they prepare for a Friday game against the Los Angeles Lakers, but there was still plenty of news on the team.
The Dallas Mavericks took a well-deserved day of rest on Thursday. They are fresh off a dominating 20-point road victory over the Rockets, and the Mavs had to travel to Los Angeles in preparation for their contest against the Lakers on Nov. 30.
Ahead of every game, the Mavericks are required to submit an injury report. The news heading into Friday’s contest was a bit surprising. Both Dennis Smith Jr. (wrist) and Dwight Powell (knee) were listed as questionable despite returning in the Mavs last game. They showed no reason to be placed back on the injury report. Keep an eye on their status as tipoff approaches.
Dirk Nowitzki was also listed as out and still remains a few weeks away from returning to action.
Eddie Sefko shared the following Tweet for those looking for the latest information on the Mavericks injuries.
Happy belated Birthday to Daryl Macon
Shout out to Mavs two-way player Daryl Macon on his 23 year birthday yesterday. Macon is averaging over 23 points per game in the G-League for the Texas Legends this season. To read more about his game click here.
The Mavericks official Twitter gave Macon a birthday cheer which fans can see below.
Happy belated goes out to the young man. Hopefully, Macon keeps dominating the G-League and gets a shot in the NBA in the near future.
