Dallas Mavericks prized rookie Luka Doncic is questionable for the Nov. 28 game against the Houston Rockets and more Mavs news.

The Dallas Mavericks face the Houston Rockets on Wednesday in a battle of two teams heading in opposition directions. The Mavs have won two straight and six of their last seven games. Houston has lost three straight games to fall below Dallas in the tightly packed Western Conference standings.

The Mavericks are traveling to Houston for tonight’s game, and their injury report continues to grow. Dirk Nowitzki remains out as he recovers from his April ankle surgery. Dallas has three other key rotation pieces listed as questionable, so let us take a closer look.

Doncic is sick

The Mavs star rookie has played in every game this season, but Luka Doncic is once again on the injury report heading into Wednesday’s game. Here is the news courtesy of Dwain Price.

Do not worry because Luka made the flight as you can see in the following update.

Doncic joining the team flight means he is likely to play against the Rockets. Dallas needs him to keep pace with the James Harden led fast paced attack in Houston.

DSJ is close

Dennis Smith Jr. missed the Mavs last game against the Boston Celtics with a wrist injury, but he returned to practice on Monday. DSJ made it two days in a row and afterward, Coach Carlisle stated his feeling about him playing against Houston which fans can see here courtesy of Dwain Price.

All signs are pointing to a DSJ return in Houston.

Powell’s up in the air

Dwight Powell has missed the Mavericks last three games with a knee injury. There was no update on his status from Tuesday’s practice, but Powell is listed as questionable on the official injury report. Keep an eye out for updates as the tipoff draws closer.
