Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and rookie Luka Doncic traded 3-pointers during Monday’s practice and more Mavs news.

The Dallas Mavericks are fresh off a victory over the Boston Celtics that pushed them to .500 on the year. The Mavs have won two straight and seven of their last nine games. They have made massive improvements since opening night, especially on the defensive end. All of that has happened without franchise GOAT Dirk Nowitzki in the lineup.

Dirk is getting closer to returning every day, though. The ankle has not allowed him to participate in full practice, but he has been shooting for a couple weeks. Practice on Nov. 26 brought Mavericks fans an outstanding sight.

Nowitzki was shooting with prized rookie Luka Doncic, and they were trading buckets. Fans can check out the video here courtesy of the Mavs official Twitter.

Mavericks fans everywhere cannot wait for these two to share the court in an NBA game. It will be a passing of the torch in some ways from Dirk to Luka.

Bill Simmons praises Doncic

Luka Doncic receives a ton of praise these days and rightfully so. The rookie is having an impressive season for a veteran entering his prime, so considering Doncic is only 19 that adds to the WOW factor. Everyone seems to be taking notice including Bill Simmons. Check out his Tweet about Doncic.

That is high praise for any player, and Luka Doncic deserves every bit of it. Enjoy the rest of the season because Wonder Boy figures to only improve from here.
