The Dallas Mavericks have had some Halloween parties in the past, primarily when Deron Williams was on the team. What was the best costume from past years?

The Dallas Mavericks and players across the NBA have been dressing up for Halloween for years. Many of these costumes are simple and playful while many others are there to win some costume contests.

So far this year, we have seen many different costumes. Klay Thompson showed up for the Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans game as Jackie Moon, the Will Ferrell character from the movie Semi-Pro. Victor Oladipo of the Indiana Pacers, showed up for his game as the Black Panther from the Marvel movie.

Even Benny, the Chicago Bulls mascot dressed up as Robin Lopez for their game. Many NBA stars have enjoyed playing games on the Halloween holiday so that they can get this chance to dress up in their own costume.

For the Dallas Mavericks, we haven’t really ever seen the guys show up to the games in costume, but they have had costume parties in the past few years. The most notable ones are still enshrined in history thanks to Deron Williams and Charlie Villanueva’s Instagram account. He and his family hosted the Mavs Halloween party in both 2015 and 2016. The costumes were very different from year to year, so let’s see which year won overall and which player had the best individual costume. We will start with the 2015 Halloween party…

Lots of wonderful costumes in there from minions to Batman to Lurch, but which one is the best? It’s hard to pick. Let’s take a look at 2016…

You’ve got to love some Roger Rabbit, Ant-Man and of course the Blues Brothers. The Mavs have had some great times dressing up in the past and I hope the team does it again in the future. We are missing a couple years in between, though, so they will have to make up for missed time.
