Dallas Mavericks news: J.J. Barea added to the injury report and more
By Tyler Watts
The Dallas Mavericks may get their leading scorer from last season back against the Raptors but could be without J.J. Barea and more news.
The Dallas Mavericks face the Raptors in Toronto on Friday evening. The Mavs are coming off a brutal loss where they blew a massive lead. They are facing an undefeated Toronto team that is quickly becoming the favorites to win the Eastern Conference. It should be no easy task.
With another game day come updates on the injuries. The Mavs have been hit hard early this season. They need some good fortune on that front.
This season, the NBA started releasing official injury reports three times each day. Teams are required to release the information. They have to do so the day before and on the day of their games. Here are the updates Thursday’s final injury report gave to fans.
Harrison Barnes is listed as probable. That is the first time all season that he has been listed as anything other than out. It bodes well for him playing this evening, but no final determination has been made yet.
J.J. Barea was added to the injury report with a hamstring injury. He is listed as questionable, but that is not good news for Mavs fans. Jalen Brunson would take on an even larger role if Barea misses Friday’s game.
Be sure to check for updates on their statuses as tipoff draws near this evening.
