The Dallas Mavericks earned a hard-fought 140-136 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday evening.

The win was a total team effort.  Luka Doncic dropped 26 points with plenty of highlights along the way.  DeAndre Jordan controlled the paint with 22 points, ten rebounds, and five blocks.  Dennis Smith Jr. sank the game-winner in route to 19 points and six assists.  The Mavericks played fantastic on the offensive end and earned the victory.

Rest day

The team took Sunday off to rest ahead of a busy week.  The Mavs play four times, and still, have six games before the calendar flips to November.

Ever wonder how your favorite Mavs player spends his off days?  Well, Jordan and Smith Jr. visited the Texas State Fair on Oct. 21.  It was the final day of the fair for the year.  The Mavericks official Twitter account documented some of the events which you can see below.

DeAndre was enjoying himself too.

Luka may have been watching some basketball on his off day.  He sent a Tweet congratulating Hawks rookie point guard Trae Young on his massive 35 point performance on Sunday.  These two players will forever be linked because of the draft night trade that sent Doncic to Dallas and Young to Atlanta.  It was a cool gesture from the Mavs man, though.
