Dallas Mavericks free agent signee DeAndre Jordan is in town working out with his teammates in preparation for the upcoming season.
The Dallas Mavericks hauled in a big-time free agent this summer. Adding DeAndre Jordan to be their starting center and defensive anchor was a massive improvement.
Jordan is a co-favorite to lead the NBA in rebounding this season. Dallas struggled mightily on the boards last season. That is just one of many reasons why Jordan was a worthwhile signing.
DJ spent much of the offseason in Los Angeles training and enjoying some downtime. That is why Sept. 7 was an important day for fans.

The picture is maybe even more important after the chaos that ensued in attempting to sign Jordan three years ago. Those are bad memories, though. Mavericks’ rookie playmaker Luka Doncic is a master of the pick-and-roll. Jordan is one of the best screeners in the NBA and also known for his lob catching ability. The combination could be deadly this season. Mavs fans should be in for a treat watching this combination.
Not staying for good yet

DeAndre Jordan was in town working out with his Dallas Mavericks teammates. The big man should make the Mavs an improved team this season. Jordan is one of the best centers in the NBA.
