The Dallas Mavericks G-League affiliate the Texas Legends released their regular season schedule for the upcoming season on Aug. 27.

The Dallas Mavericks will likely use their G-League squad plenty this season.  The team is close by, and the Mavs will want to get all four of their rookies significant minutes at points this season.  Expect to see some of them head to Frisco to play for the Legends, but more on that in a minute.

The Texas Legends released their regular season schedule for the upcoming season on Aug. 27.  You can check it out in the Tweet below courtesy of their official Twitter account.

Expect plenty of Kostas

The Mavericks signed rookie Kostas Antetokounmpo to a two-way contract for this season.  That means he will spend the majority of his time with the Legends.  It will be interesting to see how the organization attempts to develop the raw 6’11 talent.

Antetokounmpo should get massive minutes with the Legends and be one of their building blocks as the Mavericks plan on him being a future role player for their squad.

Who else to expect in Frisco?

The Dallas Mavericks have plenty of talents that will likely play for the Legends at least some this season.

Fellow two-way rookie Daryl Macon is in the same position as Kostas, so expect to see him play a ton for the Legends.

Another rookie Ray Spalding appears buried in the frontcourt depth chart for the Mavericks meaning he likely plays some games with Texas.  Spalding could dominate the G-League with his energy and hustle, so that should be a treat to watch.

Jalen Brunson will likely get a few starts with the Legends.  That will give him the opportunity to play 30 plus minutes a game and lead the same offense the Mavericks are running.

The Texas Legends are coming off a playoff season in the G-League, so do not be surprised to see them add a few veterans to round out the roster this season.

Final thoughts

The Texas Legends dropped their schedule this week.  Dallas Mavericks fans will want to pay a little more intention to the team this season as their rookies will see minutes in Frisco.  That could be a key to their development as well.  Keep an eye out for how they are progression throughout the season.
