Mirza Teletovic

Lastly, I have Mirza Teletovic for the Mavericks to consider. I am sure the first thing you were thinking was “Hey, Teletovic isn’t from South America”, but I just couldn’t find another reasonable option from the countries that make up South America. Instead, you will just have to settle for yet another European, this time from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Teletovic is a more familiar name than the other two, thanks to his decent seasons spent in Brooklyn, Phoenix and Milwaukee. In the six seasons Teletovic has spent in the league, he has put up averages of 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in about 18 minutes per game. Those numbers aren’t too bad, especially considering his slash line of .406/.371/.755.

Teletovic would give the Mavs another shooter off the bench for the 2nd unit, which I believe is something Coach Carlisle is very interested in. Teletovic would be a nice addition under the MLE and would add a good scoring punch. His defense is a bit suspect, but that can be dealt with over time. I still think he would be a great choice.

Next. Dallas Mavericks player profile: J.J. Barea

These are just a few of the options for the Dallas Mavericks and would give the team something a little different than they currently have. None of these guys will likely be signed by the Mavs anyways, but a man can dream, right?
