The Dallas Mavericks should be interested in David Nwaba

The Dallas Mavericks should consider David Nwaba for a roster spot. Nwaba, formerly of the Chicago Bulls, is now an unrestricted free agent.
The Chicago Bulls decided to rescind the qualifying offer to 3rd year guard, David Nwaba, a few days ago. Nwaba went undrafted in 2016, but made himself known after joining the Chicago Bulls. He has played in part of two seasons (one for the Lakers and one for the Bulls), but now may be looking at a new destination for the upcoming season.
Despite going undrafted, Nwaba has ironed out a nice little role over the last year. He came in off the bench for Chicago and offered a defensive presence with a little bit of scoring to go along with it. So far in his career, Nwaba is averaging 7.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
The Dallas Mavericks would do well to get a guy like Nwaba to come off the bench for the team. The depth at the wing positions is not as strong as I prefer at this point and he would offer someone who can make an impact on both ends of the court. He is young and coachable which would do well with this team and with Coach Carlisle in particular.
As of now, the Mavs have not been rumored to have any interest in bringing on Nwaba. This is most likely due to the salary cap for the team as Dallas has almost no money left in the pot. The big move Dallas can still use is with their mid-level exception, but Nwaba is probably not the ideal player to use that little weapon on. Devin Harris seems like the more likely candidate at this point.
Here are a couple highlights from Nwaba over the past two seasons with the Bulls. He could definitely fit into the Mavs system well.
I am a fan of Nwaba and think he would do well in Dallas. I hope the front office looks into him as an option and at least gives him consideration.
