The NBA Draft is tonight and the Dallas Mavericks are still set with the 5th pick overall. If everything stays the same with the draft order going forward (which it likely won’t), this is how Jasmyn Wimbish and I see the lottery playing out.

Today is the day we have all been waiting for. The NBA Draft is mere hours away and things couldn’t be much more exciting. At the time of writing this, there has been no trades happening in the first round of the draft. That could easily change in the next few hours but for now the mock draft will just be straight up with the current draft order.

For this final mock draft, we decided to give a consensus pick between the two of us at each draft position through the lottery. We tried our best to keep as much bias out of the results of this draft and were going for who we honestly think each team will be taking with their picks as of right now.

The Dallas Mavericks are, of course, making the fifth pick in the first round. Rumors have been circulating recently that they could be adding the European sensation, Luka Doncic. Others still believe it is much more likely that the Mavs end up with someone like Mohamed Bamba, Jaren Jackson Jr. or Marvin Bagley III.

Who do you think the Mavs will take with the fifth pick? Is there a particular player you won’t be happy with if the Mavericks do pick them?

Find out what we see happening in just the next few slides.
