#11: Charlotte Hornets

Kevin Knox, Kentucky

“Charlotte may be looking to start the replacement process for Kemba Walker in this draft, but my bet is that they will try and surround the excellent point guard with some more talent before giving up. Kevin Knox will be a good option to help out. Knox represents a great shooter who has a lot of versatility coming out of Kentucky. He has room to grow and the Hornets will use him a lot right off the bat.” –Kohl Rast

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kentucky

“New General Manager Mitch Kupchak has his work cut out for him. Kemba Walker’s play has surprisingly slipped over the last two seasons, and it doesn’t appear as though he wants to be with the Michael Jordan-led Hornets for the rest of his career.

Gilgeous-Alexander could help ease some of that uncertainty. John Calipari got everything he possibly could out of his point guard and coached him into a strong two way player. The Hornets need to get a head start on finding their point guard if the future.” –Evan Siegel

Troy Brown, Oregon

“Brown has an iffy shot that may not transition to the NBA. But I think he’s a good fit in the back court with Kemba Walker (if Charlotte decides to hang onto their all-star point guard). He’s got the size to defend any guards in the NBA and can create off the dribble. He can take some of the play-making responsibility off of Walker and switch on defense on the perimeter. He’s a safe, solid pick late in the lottery.” –Ben Zajdel
