The ping-pong balls are out and the 2018 NBA Draft order is set. With the Dallas Mavericks getting the 5th pick, who will they choose? And how will the rest of the NBA teams make their picks?

After months of anticipation, the NBA Draft Lottery results are finally in. Dallas Mavericks fans are not as happy as they thought they were going to be as once again we were shot down by the same lotto that has cost the Mavs countless top picks throughout the years. That said, the 5th overall pick isn’t so bad for this Dallas team.

The Phoenix Suns were able to keep their lottery odds as they were selected with the number one overall pick in this year’s draft. The Sacramento Kings made the biggest jump of all lottery teams, going from the 7th highest odds and an 18.3% chance to land a top three pick and turning that into the 2nd overall pick.

The Atlanta Hawks round out the top three as they moved up from the fourth best odds. After that, the Memphis Grizzlies and Mavericks take the biggest hit, being knocked out of the top three for the fourth and fifth overall picks. The Orlando Magic also moved back to the sixth pick despite having the fifth overall odds. The Chicago Bulls take the seventh pick.

The rest of the teams went with the lottery odds, starting with the eighth pick: Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, LA Clippers x2, and Denver Nuggets.

A few of The Smoking Cuban staff members put together a full first round mock draft immediately after the lottery. Here are the results.
