Dallas Mavericks Set to Face a Reeling Nuggets Team
By Dusty Bryan
The Dallas Mavericks (15-29) are looking to bounce back from a loss to the Lakers, and they have a great opportunity to do that in Denver on Tuesday night.
The Denver Nuggets (22-21) have lost four of their last five games and have struggled to score points.
The Dallas Mavericks travel to Denver tonight to face the Denver Nuggets. Both teams are coming off losses and hope to get back in the win column tonight. The Dallas Mavericks are stinging from an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers over the weekend. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are coming off of an embarrassing 32-point loss in San Antonio.
The Denver Nuggets have lost four of their last five games and have failed to hit the century mark in five of their last six outings. If that trend continues, the Mavericks should have a great chance to win in Denver, as most of the Mavericks’ wins have come when its opponents scored less than 100 points.

The Mavericks and Nuggets have already met on the hardwood once this year. That matchup resulted in a dominant 122-105 win for the Mavericks. It was a game where six Mavericks’ players scored in double-figures and the team shot 57 percent from the field.
If the Mavericks can have that kind of offensive productivity tonight against a struggling Nuggets offense, then the Nuggets might be in some serious trouble.
One advantage the Nuggets will have is size. They like to go with a bigger lineup, which gives them an advantage over a Mavericks team that likes to go small.
The Mavericks got totally dominated on the boards against the Lakers. If the Mavericks want to beat the Nuggets, then the team will have to be aggressive on the boards.
