Now that the game is out, lets look at what the Dallas Mavericks look like in the game.
With the move to Nike, each team across the league will have four jerseys. With the association and icon jerseys being the classic home and away jerseys, one of the other jerseys is called the “statement” jersey.
On NBA2K18, they give a Nike version of the previous skyline jerseys as the “statement” jersey for the Mavericks.
They also gave the Mavericks three different retro jerseys in the game.
-Harrison Barnes is the highest rated Dallas Maverick at a rating of 81. Personally, I was surprised by the rating and thought Barnes should be closer to a 83-85.
-Entering his 20th season, Dirk Nowitzki is still the second highest rated player on the team at a 80 rating.
-Dennis Smith Jr. comes in at a 76 rating as a rookie. Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball are both rated 80 on the game.
-Wesley Matthews and Seth Curry are both rated a 77 and have about a $15 million difference in salaries.
-They have the Mavericks as the 20th best offensive team in the league, the 24th best defensive team and the 23rd best overall team in the league.
-The game features two classic Mavs teams. The first team is Dirk, Nash, Finley and the rest of the 2002-03 team. The second team is the 2011 Dallas Mavericks that won the NBA Championship.
-The game features an All-Time Dallas Mavericks team that features Dirk, Rolando Blackman, Derek Harper, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and more previous Mavericks.
