Biggest Upgrade: Minnesota Timberwolves

Last year, the Timberwolves won 31 games. This year, I have them winning over 50 games.

It started on draft night when Minnesota made the big splash in trading for Jimmy Butler from Chicago. They gave up the 7th pick, Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine, who is coming off a torn ACL, for the top 20 player in Butler.

After that, they went out and signed Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson, and Jamal Crawford in free agency.

In the Butler deal, they also received the 16th pick in the draft where they selected Justin Patton out of Creighton.

Oh, don’t forget about their two young cornerstones in Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.

Minnesota will run out a starting unit consisting of Teague, Wiggins, Butler, Dieng and Towns to go with a bench unit in Jones, Crawford, Gibson, Patton and anyone else they add before training camp.

I’m all in on the Wolves.

Runner-Up: Oklahoma City Thunder
