Biggest Downgrade: Memphis Grizzlies

For the biggest downgrade in the Western Conference, I’m going with the Memphis Grizzlies.

This isn’t anything against Marc Gasol, Mike Conley or David Fizdale, but literally everything else with what they did over the offseason.

They lost Zach Randolph and Vince Carter to the Sacramento Kings. They look to be losing Tony Allen and possibly JaMychal Green at any moment, even though Green is a restricted free agent.

Outside of Gasol and Conley, the core is based on Ben McLemore, Tyreke Evans, and the health of Chandler Parsons. Their bench unit is looking at Mario Chalmers, Wade Baldwin and Troy Daniels.

For a team that finished 7th in the West last year, I have Memphis falling out of the playoffs and near the same level as the Dallas Mavericks.

For that reason, they are my biggest downgrade of the Western Conference.

Runner-Up: Utah Jazz
