Bud Light Gifts Dirk Nowitzki 30,000 Bud Lights After Post Game Shout Out

After post game shout out from Dirk Nowitzki celebrating his 30,000 point milestone, Bud Light sends a large gift to the Big German.

The Mavericks home game on Tuesday night against the Lakers will always be remembered as the night that Dirk Nowitzki joined the prestigious 30,000 point club. Nowitzki is just the 6th player in the NBA history to reach the milestone.

After the game, Nowitzki left the court to a celebrating crowd as he greeted fans heading to the locker room. Then it was time for post game press conferences.

Rick Carlisle went first where he delivered a heartfelt speech on the legacy of Nowitzki and then it was Dirk’s turn to take the podium.

Nowitzki answered numerous questions about the millstone and special night, but one question was centered around how long he would celebrate the milestone.

“I just had a Bud Light for the first time in a long time,” Nowitzki said.

Now, a couple of days after Dirk gave that subtle shout out to Bud Light, the beer company is paying respects to the legend.

"Via the Mavs press release, “In honor of Dirk’s achievement, and to welcome him to this elite club, Bud Light, the official beer of the NBA, delivered 30,000 Bud Lights – one for every point in his career – to the Mavericks offices so the legend could share a brew with the most loyal of MFFLs.”"

Bud Light sent a personal truck to American Airlines Center where they dropped off the 30,000 cans of Bud Light. Bud Light also attached a note to the cases that read…

“Dear Dirk,

Congrats on 30,000 points. Here is 30,000 Bud Lights to share with your friends!

Cheers,

Bud Light”

The Mavs team cans plan to be distributed before the game for free to fans attending Friday night’s game, the following is a statement from the press release on the details.

"“Prior to tonight’s game versus the Brooklyn Nets, Bud Light will purchase a Mavs Team Can for fans (21+, 1 per patron) between 6-8pm in the Eighteen 76 Lounge. (Game tickets are required for entry; while supplies last).  DJ Joe Ramirez and Mavs Fans will toast to Dirk’s 30k Milestone at 7:45pm”"

The celebration of Dirk week continues for Mavs fans even three days after the milestone.
