There are some familiar names from last year's team, like Olin Carter III and Yudai Baba returning, and here are some of the players to keep an eye on during training camp.

Texas Legends training camp: Players to keep an eye on

There are a lot of good players on this training camp roster, so let me narrow down some of them that you should keep an eye on.

The first one is Yudai Baba. Baba made the team last year and had a pretty good season until midseason when he got COVID-19 and was forced to leave the team to recover.

McKinley Wright IV is next up. He had an outstanding training camp and thought he was going to make the Mavericks roster as an undrafted free agent. He didn't make the final roster but he impressed the coaches so much that he got a two-way deal. He's probably going to start the first game of the season for the Legends, and he is another player that fans will love.

Another player that fans should be excited about is Amauri Hardy. He is the brother of Jaden Hardy, who the Mavs drafted this year. He averaged seven points per game for the G League Ignite last season. He got drafted by the Legends with the tenth pick in the first round of the G League Draft last weekend.

I don’t know if he will make the roster for this season. The Legends have a lot of guards already on the training camp roster that are locks to make the team. It felt like he was drafted just because he’s Hardy’s brother.

The last player that I want to talk about is Marcus Bingham. Bingham was another undrafted free agent that the Mavericks picked up this summer. You can't have enough big men in the NBA, and Bingham lists at 7'0. James Banks will need help guarding the basket this season, and Bingham is the perfect player to help him out, so keep an eye on the 22-year-old rookie.

With all the offseason stuff done and out of the way, the season is right around the corner. It will be interesting to see who will make the final cut for this 2022-23 Texas Legends team. With returning players from last season and some new faces from the G-League draft, it will make for an interesting camp, so stay tuned for all the latest.
