10. Jaden Hardy
Jaden Hardy's first two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks have been a rollercoaster ride, to say the least.
In year one, Hardy broke into the Mavs rotation as a rookie, and by the end of it, he was the most consistent shooter on the team. Hardy had an amazing end of the season and looked like he'd be an excellent role player for Dallas moving forward, but year two was different.
Hardy was in and out of the rotation and couldn't find a consistent role. He'd sometimes string together a couple of solid performances but would later find himself on the bench in other games soon after.
He was walking the line between a sophomore slump and showing his potential, and he finally showed what he was made of in the playoffs. Hardy had an excellent series against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals, and his growth as a playmaker shined.
Hardy looked like someone who could stick around in Dallas for a long time as a spark plug off the bench, and this season will be crucial for him.
Hardy will be a restricted free agent next summer, and if Dallas doesn't see him as a long-term fit, they could move him before the trade deadline as they have an abundance of guards off the bench already.
It's hard to determine the type of player Hardy is going to develop into, but he has shown flashes of being a great three-level scorer for Dallas over his first two seasons. Hardy is an underrated and gifted scorer, and he is worth keeping around if Dallas is high on his potential.
