1. Victor Wembanyama

Last rank: 1

Victor Wembanyama has all but locked up this season's Rookie Of The Year award, and despite missing a few games, the Spurs have played well in his absence.

In one of the few games that Wembanyama has missed, San Antonio played the Phoenix Suns and won dramatically over the current eight-seeded Suns. The Spurs won the season series against Phoenix, beating them three games to one.

Despite missing Wembanyama against the Suns, Wemby has continued to dominate when on the floor. Against the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this week, the French phenom exploded for 31 points and 16 rebounds while making it look effortless.

Wembanyama has made his length and size advantage known and has even found new ways to score using his length. Instead of slamming home every ball at the rim, Wemby has worked on his touch and has developed a little jump hook that has been unguardable.

While the Spurs haven't won as many games as they would have liked to, they have possession themselves for a chance at one of the top picks in this upcoming draft. Assuming they land a homerun prospect, the Spurs could be competing with some of the best teams next season.

While Wembanyama has been impressive during his rookie season, it will still be important that he develops his game and his body over the offseason. Wemby has been virtually unstoppable all season, and given one offseason, he could turn into an All-NBA talent.
