Adjustment Dallas Mavericks fans should watch for vs. Rockets: 1. Spacing

Mavs Twitter has been sharing the photos every time the team is not spacing the floor well. Fans are used to Rick Carlisle’s five-out system that always featured balance and room to operate. Coach Jason Kidd’s offense may reach that level, but it has not yet. It is going to take time for players to figure out where others are going to be and keep things spread out.

Supporters saw a significant improvement from game one to game two if they were watching closely. Growth will not always be linear in this area, but there will be upgrades in game three.

Luka Doncic is too good for the Mavs not to be among the league’s best offenses. The team is already near the top in open looks per game but is shooting just 37.0 percent on them. Dallas is not shooting well and continues to work out the kinks.
