25. George McCloud - 16.1

George McCloud might not be a Dallas Mavericks player that everyone's minds go to when thinking about the best players in franchise history, but he played a crucial role from 1994 until 1997. McCloud played two and a half seasons for the Mavs, and his improvement after his first season with the team was remarkable.

In his first year with the team, McCloud averaged 9.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from downtown. He only started in three games this season, and he was a solid scorer off the bench.

In his second year with the team, McCloud's numbers skyrocketed and he arguably had the best season of his NBA career. He averaged 18.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from downtown. McCloud started in 63 games this season, and his huge improvements led to him coming in second place for the NBA's Most Improved Player Award.

McCloud was a flamethrower from downtown as a Maverick, and his ability to shoot off the catch was outstanding. He also had good defensive instincts and a decent mid-range pull-up jumper as well.

During McCloud's third season with the team, he averaged 13.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 38 percent from downtown. The Mavs would trade McCloud to the Los Angeles Lakers at the 1997 trade deadline, and he will always be remembered for his electric shooting.
