30 Greatest Dallas Mavericks in history, ranked by Player Efficiency Rating (PER)
By Noah Weber
11. Jason Terry - 17.7
Former Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry is one of the most loved Mavs of all time, and his time in Dallas was as memorable as almost anyone on this list.
In eight full seasons for Dallas, Terry averaged 16.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from behind the 3-point line. Terry primarily came off the bench as a Mav, and he made a name for himself through his ability to light up the scoreboard as the team's sixth man.
Terry won the 2008-09 Sixth Man of the Year as a member of the Mavs, and he was in the top three for voting four other times. His ability to stop on a dime in transition and pull up from downtown was phenomenal and he was unstoppable when he got hot.
Terry played a key role on the 2011 NBA Finals team and he averaged 17.5 points per game off the bench while shooting 44.2 percent from downtown and was one of the fan favorites on that team outside of Dirk Nowitzki.
Terry could score at all three levels and he will always be known as one of the greatest shooters of all time both off the catch and off the dribble. Now, Terry is an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz.
