3. Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam has already been traded to the Indiana Pacers, but he was the best player that the Dallas Mavericks have been linked to so far this season.

The Mavs were interested in trading for Siakam, and they were also a team that called the Toronto Raptors about him this summer. The Mavs need a better power forward, and Siakam is one of the best fours in the NBA.

This season for Toronto, Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 52.2 percent from the field. He is one of the most offensively-dominant bigs in the NBA, and he would have fit perfectly next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Siakam would have been such a great fit next to these two due to the fact that he can create his own shot. The Mavs are limited in players that can score in isolation, and Siakam is a master at this. He is great at attacking the rim, scoring from the mid-range, and he is a monster in transition.

He also has good size and elite length, making him a great plug-in at Dallas' four spot. They have been needing someone with size who can guard multiple positions, and Siakam would have been able to do that and more.

The Pacers gave the Raptors three first-round picks for Siakam, and the Mavs were clearly not going to be able to land him as they don't have that much draft capital to offer. Siakam was one of the Mavs' biggest pipe dream trade targets this season, but the next two players would be even more exciting.
