5. Avoid: Firing Jason Kidd

This is the one move on this list that doesn't involve Dallas making some type of trade, but due to the fact that many fans are calling for Jason Kidd's job, this deserves a spot on this list.

Regardless of Dallas' struggles, the Mavs must avoid firing Kidd at all costs.

This is a move that Dallas must avoid because it could set the Mavs back in terms of chemistry, and the playoffs are just a few months away. It doesn't make sense to fire Kidd, as the entire roster would have to quickly get used to a new head coach while also preparing to make a playoff push over the final stretch of the season.

Kidd also has great chemistry with Kyrie Irving, and he has spoken highly of him ever since he was traded to Dallas. Keeping your superstars happy is an important part of the NBA today, and Kidd's leadership was likely a big reason that Irving re-signed with the Mavs over the summer. He has even called Kidd his mentor.

Unless Dallas decides to punt the season for some reason (which is extremely unlikely), Kidd should remain as the head coach until the end of the season. Luka Doncic and Kyrie are too talented of a duo to waste a season by firing the head coach.
