4. Dud - Grant Williams

When having a player like Luka Doncic on your team, role players have to be ready and prepared to hit catch and shoot threes. In the first half of the season, Grant Williams was fulfilling this objective, but as of late, he has hit a cold spark.

In the month of December, Williams is shooting a scrappy 30.6 percent from three. What has become agitating for Mavs fans though is his poor perimeter defense. With the injuries the Mavs have been dealing with lately, it has caused players to guard and play different positions they aren’t typically used to. Williams is a very solid interior defensive presence for this team but doesn’t thrive too well on the perimeter.

Something that has really stood out in the most recent games for Williams is how hesitant he has been to shoot his typical corner 3-point shot. He has been utilizing his pump fake excessively as of lately, which is not what people want to see. Williams is a very reliable shooter regardless of whether the shot is contested or not.

Expect Williams to have a big impact in the game tomorrow night on both ends of the floor as he will most likely have to guard the big man, Alperen Sengun at some points throughout the game.
